1 - My son and his girlfriend have benefited from the VITA program. They both run small businesses and are not able to afford a CPA to assist them with their taxes. They have used the VITA program for the past two years and been extremely satisfied with the help. The staff has been amazing to work with and extremely knowledgeable in answering all of our questions.
2 - My family went through some dramatic changes in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We were grateful for the Child Tax Credits that we received throughout the year. It truly helped us stay on our feet. When going to file taxes for 2020, I was very nervous and had so many questions. I didn't know where I should go to make sure I got them done correctly and to have my questions answered. When I heard about the VITA program I was relieved to have found somewhere to get my taxes done and by someone who truly wanted to help. 3 - I have filled my taxes with the free site provided through vita the last two years. My experience has been great I have saved the tax filler fee I usually have to pay to have my taxes filled. With the money I have saved I have been able to use it as emergency funds in times of need. This has also motivated me to continue to add to my savings when able to. I will continue to use the free site provided by VITA and refer family and friends for years to come.
